# GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ENCUENTRO LATINOAMERICANO DE DISEÑO
The Encuentro Latinoamericano de Diseño (Latinamerican Design Congress) is a free event that includes different activities related with design, focused from a multiplicity of subjects: trends, technology, business and a lot more.
The condition of the Encuentro be given freely, talks about the institutional effort made by the Facultad de Diseño y Comunicación de la Universidad de Palermo, focused to get that all the students and professionals of Latin America have the opportunity to be enriched, learn and updatein a framework of bonding and reflection.
This second Encuentro Latinoamericano de Diseño will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, between the 31 of July and the 3 of August, 2007.
The I Encuentro Latinoamericano de Diseño 2006 has mainly opened a new enriching space of integration, dialogue, reflection and exchange of new ideas of design. We shared common experiences and also the ones which are typical of each culture, in more than 400 free activities given by outstanding design professionals, Teachers and companies from more than 10 countries of America, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
