About the Encuentro Latinoamericano de Diseño
The School of Design and Communication of the University of Palermo organizes Design in Palermo 2009, the fourth edition of the Latin-American Meeting of Design, which aim is to create a space for learning and exchanging experiences among professionals, academicians, students and companies.
Dates of the event: From Tuesday, the 28th of July until Friday, the 31st of July, 2009.
Schedules: From Tuesday, the 28th until Thursday, the 30th of July: The activities are carried out from 10 a.m. till 9 p.m.
On Friday, the 31st of July: The activities are carried out from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.

Activities developed during the Meeting: more than 350 activities of free training (workshops, seminars, conferences) given by out-standing professionals of design and communications of Latin America.
Professionals - academicians areas on which activities develop: Textile Design and of Apparel / Graphic Design / Industrial Design / Interiors Design / Landscape Design / Image and Sound Design / Audio-visual Communication / Advertising Design / Spectacles Design / Photographic Design / Comics Design / Information Design / Others.
Certificates: Certificatesare delivered to the attendees the last day of the Meeting -Friday, the 31st of July, 2009-.
Economic support for the attendees to the Meeting: More than 400 lecturers and 4500 attendees of Latin America come to The Latin-American Meeting of Design. As it is a totally free event, it is impossible for the University of Palermo to settle the expenses of movements and housing of all the attendees.
Many lecturers or participants look for economic support in the institutions in those who they work and/or study.
Plenary of the Forum of Schools of Design: in the frame of the Meeting there will carry out the fourth Plenary of the Forum of Schools of Design, that joins more than 200 educational institutions adherents that meet to think about the actual importance and the future of the design education in Latin America.
