WHAT IS THE LATIN AMERICAN DESIGN CONFERENCE?
The School of Design and Communication of the University of Palermo [Buenos Aires, Argentina] organizes The Latin American Design Conference, an event aimed to be a space for
training, linking and sharing of experiences among professionals, academics, students and companies in the design field.
The following activities take place during the event:
- 300 Conferences, workshops and Guests of Honour lectures
- Design fair [Students and graduates from UP present their start ups and sell their products]
- Design books and Publications are sold.
- Design contests
- The Latin American Congress on Teaching of Design
Some of the Guests of Honour who gave lectures at the event are: Norberto Chaves, Isidro Ferrer, Ricky Sarkany, Felipe Taborda, Mario Eskenazi, Martín Churba, América Sánchez, Ronald Shakespear, Ruth Klotzel, Alejandro Magallanes, Jorge Frascara, Hugo Kogan, Ricardo Blanco, Ernesto Rinaldi, Esteban Salgado and Steve Diskin.
The Conference is held every year -from 2006- and receives more than 5500 people from over 20 countries.
